Rainy days and Mondays

Hello. I am at my last shift at the library for two and a half weeks. This morning was a whirlwind of running around and getting things done. We paid for our flowers, ordered rolls, got breakfast, got my ring cleaned, got items for the flowers, and went to the distribution center and the health center. All within two hours! Yikes! Yesterday was really fun because Eli's parents had all of my family (Me, Mom, Cindy and Kurt and A.J., and Ronda and her girls) over for a cookout. It was so much fun because Eli's cousins were there and all the kids just loved playing together. They had some mattresses on the floor waiting to be moved into the spare bedroom but it became a kids paradise. They all took turns taking jumps onto them. Gary and Eli rated them on their jumps. Eli's cousin Anna kept saying, "my turn! My turn!" When no one would listen to her she would say to me, "Sheebe, (that's what she calls me), say, 'Anna's turn!'" It was cute. Then my niece Romey, who is Eli's shadow and still continued to call him Daddy all night would say, "Romey's turn" and jump up and down in the same spot with her arms folded and no expression on her face. Then Eli and I went and picked up Alaina and Milo from the airport. I'm so glad they're here and now everyone but Dad and Paul and Cheryl has met Eli! I think this week is going to be a lot of fun! It's going to be very busy though. But, that will just make it more fun and will make the time pass faster. I'm really jealous though because Eli gets to go see Batman tonight with his friends from work for a bachelor party. No fair! Just kidding, he deserves a fun night with his friends. I hope he has a lot of fun. Methinks I'll hang out with my sisters. So, I'd better go.

I've succombed to blogging

So, I'm taking it upon myself to be the historian of our marriage, which will henceforth start with this blog. We've been engaged since April 27,2008. I for one am really glad that we didn't have an engagement longer than three months. I don't know how people handle it. We are getting married in 6 days in the Provo temple. We're both really excited. We're having an open house that evening at Eli's parents house and then the next morning we're going to Mexico on our honeymoon. I can't wait until it will be just the two of us on a sweet vacation for six days. I've never been out of the country and I know that Mexico isn't exactly going abroad, I'm still way excited. I am so ready to be married. I feel lame blogging. I read other people's blogs and I like them. Ha, blogs make me laugh because they remind me of Arrested Development and the lawyer, Bob Loblaw, had a blog. It was called, "Bob Loblaw's Law Blog." Try saying that. It's fun. Well, this blog is intended to chronicle our great adventures in marriage. So, since the marriage hasn't started yet, there's not much to say. Our adventures in engagement have been fun. We've basically just spent all of our free time together and done everything together. We like to run errands together and hang out with family. Both of us are pretty low key so we get along pretty well without a lot. I've kept busy this summer working at the library and (some of the time) doing wedding stuff. Eli's been really busy working at Chuck-a-rama and also working in a research lab on campus. He's pretty important in the lab and runs a lot of projects. I'm really proud of him and I like to go help him in the lab. He's so cute when he's concentrating on sciencey things. We've had a lot of fun this summer, being engaged. My favorite things that we've done have been registering, hiking, going to the temple, going to church, hanging out with our friends, and hanging out with our families. Most of my family minus Alaina and my Dad are in town now for the wedding. It's going to be a really crazy, busy, fun week. I can't wait until Friday!!!!!
