Baby in a Crib

Caroline finally has a crib! She loves having a bigger place to sleep. I feel bad she had to wait so long, but I really didn't see the point in buying her one in Utah just to move it all the way across the country. It is beautiful and pretty easy to put together. We have been so blessed with the generosity of our family and friends. My parents gave us a nice crib mattress and bedding, and Eli's aunt also gave us some bedding, so she is set with everything from bumper pads, bed skirts, mattress pads, and sheets. We are very lucky. Here are some picture of a baby in her new bed@
Enjoy!

Anatomy of a Blow-Out

I don't think I even really need to say anything.

Paging Dr. Rhoads...

Eli is officially a doctor...in training. His medical school has a ceremony before school starts. It is where the incoming students receive their white coats. Fun Fact: Practicing doctors wear long white coats, down to their knees. Students wear hip-length white coats. It was a very nice ceremony, yet long. Caroline did great, though I pretty much had to stand up with her for the whole one and a half hours. But it was a very nice ceremony and I am so proud of him! Caroline wasn't that impressed with it, until she found the buttons they had put on his coat. She just wanted to eat them.

Eli has a week of orientation this week, then classes start on Monday. We're on our way! I am so proud of him and we'll keep everyone updated on the school stuff in his life1

Wise Baby

Caroline is on to us. She knows we're trying to get her to sleep better, so she thought she'd read up on our methods. She lives by the saying, "knowledge is power."

I've never seen a five month old who could read, have you?

Live from Louisville

We are here! I don't have much time to write, we're at the library and Eli needs to use the computer, but we are here and settled. Everything is unpacked. We love our apartment and ward. We couldn't be more pleased with everything out here. Alaina and the boys already came to see us and that was so much fun. Caroline is happy and rolling all over the place and gets really frustrated when she can't shove the whole of whatever she's playing with in her mouth. I will blog more later, we get internet on August 9th. Eli starts school on the 8th! We're so proud of him. Here's just a couple quick new pictures of Caroline.
