Weekend

Well, it's been a fun and busy past couple of weeks. Eli got a 98% on his Sensation and Perception test. We got to see Mom a lot, she left on Tuesday. She made us cinnamon rolls, SO GOOD! We got to go to the park on Saturday and play with AJ and Lars in the beautiful weather. I had a test today that I think I did well on, and another tonight. Eli's step-mom Karen and his brother Josh are in New York right now for Josh's choir to sing at Carnegie Hall.. I'm so jealous. Eli's Mom and Grandma are coming from Pocatello, as I type, to spend the weekend with us. It will be lots of fun. I'm glad they are able to make it. Lars is adorable and AJ is too. We've got two and half more weeks of classes and then finals. That means about 3 big papers for me, more tests for both of us, and lots of stress and probably junk food, which will just make us feel gross. I cannot tell you how excited I am for this semester to be over. Seriously. That's about all I guess. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!

AJ loves shoes

On Monday evening, Mom and I went shoe shopping. We took AJ with us. He was very good and had a good time at the store. You can tell he's gone shopping with Cindy a lot. As soon as we walked into the shoe section at Macy's he started saying, "Oh, I love this one! Oh, this is so cute! Aww, look at this one!" He said that about almost every shoe he saw. It was so funny. He was just trying to be a ham, but we were all laughing. He would hold up a shoe and say, "What about this one?" What a funny guy.
That's all!

My mother, the car thief!

I just want to put this funny story about Mom up here to publicly embarrass her! Love you, Mom!
So, here's the scenario: Cindy and Kurt have two vehicles. The yellow exterra has the carseats in it and is used for transporting children. The purple sentra is used for Kurt driving to work. So, before Cindy came home from the hospital, Kurt had the morning off (This was on Tuesday). Kurt got up and took AJ over to the hospital and mom came later in the sentra by herself. After awhile, Mom took aj home for lunch in the exterra and left Kurt the sentra. I was at their apartment with mom at around 5, and we were talking when Mom got a phone call from Kurt. He informed her that she didn't drive their car to the hospital. Turns out, there's an identical black sentra that shares their parking lot. It had snowed the night before, so Mom didn't even notice it was black and not purple. The strange thing though, is that Kurt's keys worked on someone elses car! Scary. So mom filled up the wrong car with gas and left it sitting at the hospital all day! Kurt came home, and luckily didn't get pulled over by any cops for driving a stolen car. Mom was mortified. Kurt showed mom where he thought the owner of the car lived. Mom went over and told the girl what happened. She was totally fine with it. She said she never even drives it because it always overheats. She even offered to pay mom back for the gas. Mom said to keep it. I think it was hush money. Anyway, it was a really funny situation and I love to hear that my mom stole a car. For those of you who know my mom, that is a very very funny thing.
Have a good weekend!

The Miracle of Life

So, needless to say, the past couple of days have been busy and amazing. Cindy (my sister) had her baby yesterday! 3 weeks early! It was so cool. I took her to the hospital and Kurt (her husband) was able to get there from work about 30 minutes before the c-section. Eli stayed and played with A.J. (her two year old boy) and they had a blast. AJ's first question this morning was "Where's Eli?" The coolest thing about this for me, other than the beautiful baby Lars, and that mom and baby are both healthy and doing well, is that I got to watch the c-section! They opened the blinds to the O.R. and let me watch through a window. I've never seen anything so amazing! they were so fast and I couldn't believe it when the doctor just reached in up to his elbows and pulled him out! How could that baby fit in there? I was crying a lot because it was just so amazing. I'm so grateful that Eli and I get to live out here by them and be a part of this wonderful day. We were not expecting for him to be born at all yesterday. We thought she would just get checked up by the doctor and sent home, but apparently she'd been having contractions all day. It was so cool! I can't wait to have my own kids! Mom is on her way out right now. I have to pick her up at 7:40. I got to hold Lars this morning finally. He is so beautiful and tiny! So, that's whats going on. AJ is asleep on the couch right now. He fell asleep in the car on our way back from wal-mart, which is good because he's not easy to get to take a nap. So, it's been really neat, these past couple of days. I just think the creation of our bodies is so wonderful. I don't see how people could watch childbirth and still say we were not created by a loving Heavenly Father. I just don't understand. If anything will build your testimony about God's love for us, it's seeing a baby being born. It was definitley the most amazing and awesome thing I have ever witnessed. Oh yeah, I also got to see a bunch of Cindy's organs. That was cool!

Class is cancelled!

Lately I've been feeling bogged down with school. There's seven weeks left in the semester and so much to do and I feel like it's just a lot to handle. So, I was so happy this morning when I got to my 9:30 Shakespeare class (on time, might I add) and lo and behold, it was canceled! That just made my day because now I have an extra two hours to study for my French test! How wonderful! And, I was really excited because I got a bunch of new stuff with my birthday money. I got three shirts, a skirt, a pair of shoes, two pairs and earrings, sunglasses, and a headband. It makes me feel good to have new clothes and stuff, I'm sure all the girl readers out there understand. I just like it. So, thank you to everyone who contributed to that little shopping trip. I'm getting very pumped for Cindy to have baby Lars in seventeen days, and for Mom to come out in fifteen/sixteen days. March will be fun. At the end of March, Eli's cousins from Vegas will come up for a few days, they're really fun too. The little boy Michael, he's 8, just loves Eli and wants to play with him all the time. Well, wish me luck on my French test... or you could say it in French, bonne chance!
Au revior!
