Goes to Eli. We had the best weekend together without the stress of school, assignment, tests, or work. He created a perfect day for me on Friday. He called it "Dia de Divertida" or "Day of Fun." He wanted to give me a great day before school starts again (today, but it's my last first day). So, he left early claiming he had to meet with a professor, it was a lie, but I forgave him. He got some delicious bagels from Einstein Brother's, bought me flowers, wrote me a nice letter, and planned our whole day. I was really suprised and hapyp with the flowers, purple alstromeria, and the bagels and the letter. Then we got dressed and went on a hike up Diamond fork canyon. It was so great. Pictures in my next post, I promise. The hike was about 4 1/2 miles round trip, but it was so beautiful. At the top of the hike were some natural hot springs, so we dipped in those for a while. We had an adventure on the way down. We passed some ladies who had a beautiful american boxer, much like Gabe's dog Nala. We got down about a mile, and you should know that the trail follows the mountain river the whole time, and the dog was ahead of us somehow and was running across the river. The river wasn't big, but it did have a lot of little waterfalls and rapids. As the dog was coming back to the side by the trail, she got caught in a waterfall part and barely made it out. After that she was scared to come back to the trail side and was stuck on the other side of the river. We tried coaxing her over, but she wouldn't come. Eventually another couple came up to where we were. The guy from their group jumped across some rocks and Eli forded the icy cold river up to his waist! The guy handed the dog to Eli and he carried him over to safety. We then took the dog back up the trail to the owners, who said she just ran off and must have gotten disoriented. That was our hiking adventure. Then we got some seeds and plants and I gardened while Eli made a great dinner. Then we helped my friend move and we went to a party with the Von Trapps to say goodbye to Skoticus. It was really sad to see him go, but he'll have so much fun in Florida. Skoticus, good luck, we'll miss you!
There's more from this weekend, but I'll write about that later. Just know that Eli's sister Kim had her baby on Saturday morning, a beautiful little girl named Tori, Eli's mom had her birthday, Happy Birthday! We love you! and we rearranged our bedroom and it's so nice now! We even got ahold of the family armoire and I think it looks so nice in our room!
I start on my last two classes today!
I just wanted to show everyone how wonderful Eli is. Not many people would ford an icy river to rescue a dog, then walk another 2 miles in soaking wet shoes and socks. And, Eli moved a lot of furniture for me, and my friends. I'm really happy I married him. He's the best and he makes me so happy. Okay, sorry, that's mushier than I'm comfortable with, but it's true. Eli's going to rock the MCAT this June too.
Eli's awesome!

It's About Time...
That I finally posted again. I am happy to report that my finals are done and that I will only ever have to take two more finals from BYU. Eli still has two more to do, one tomorrow and one on Wednesday, but he's been doing really well on his. He got a 94% on his church history one, and he hasn't gotten a score back for Organic chemistry yet, but he feels like he did well, and I know he did because he's gotten really good grades in that class this semester. I had my last final at 7 a.m. this morning. It went well, it was just a presentation on what we wrote our papers on, but I am happy to report that I got 24/25 points on it. I am so happy to be done with this semester. It was really hard, maybe the hardest semester I've had. I think it was so hard because I was sick for pretty much the whole month of February. But now I am done and I feel so good about it!
I have a whole week now with no school. I am working Monday through Thursday, but then I have from Friday to Monday off. I don't know what we'll do. We might go camping or we might do a huge overhaul of getting rid of clothes and stuff we don't use. I'm wanting to consolidate our clothes into one dresser and then re-arrange our bedroom. I also want to start going to garage sales and see if I can find a small kitchen table. For anyone who reads this and has ever eaten at our place you know why we need one. You're probably sick of eating at the coffee table on the floor as much as I am. I've found some good leads on Craigslist that I'm interested in.
We watched Marley and Me on Saturday night. That made me miss Pupcake, Princess, Nick, and Snuffles; pretty much all the dogs I loved as a child that died. I cried a lot during the end of the movie. We also watched Seven Pounds yesterday after we had dinner with some friends. It was really good, and I cried during that one too. I think finals fried my brain though because I'm usually really good at predicting the movie, but not this one. Eli figured it out in about 5 minutes, but I had no clue until the end. I won't say what happens, but if you haven't seen it yet you should. It's very interesting, and it's different than most movies out there, but I enjoyed it.
So, I've been on a big exercising, house cleaning, decorating, and cooking kick lately. Here's some things I've made this week:
bread, triple-berry cobbler, lasagna, grandma's green beans, peas and potatoes (Grandma's recipe, soo good) herbed chicken, tuna melts, and steamed broccoli. I tell you, I just really want to be a housewife. Really. I planted some flowers a herbs a couple of weeks ago and I've just been waiting for them to sprout, but then there was a freak snow storm on Tuesday and I was afraid they all died. But yesterday I noticed some green sprouts poking up! They're only on my flowers so far, the herbs haven't made any appearances, but I hope they come up too. It's funny because I bought this little pot of these pink flowers at wal-mart for $3 and they've been sitting on our porch since March. I hardly ever water them, when I got them they didn't look too healthy, Eli predicted they would die soon, but they've been through about four snowstorms, and now they are thriving! I'm thinking of getting a bigger pot to transplant them to. I'm really happy with them. And, our neighbor moved out so now I think I'll take over the dirt he used to use to plant some tomatoes, green beans, and I don't know what else. Any suggestions?
Sorry this is so long, I just haven't written in a long time. Don't feel like you have to read it all, but I guess if you're reading this then you already have read it all.
Alaina and Kimmy could each have their babies any day! I'm really excited. I hope Kimmy has her baby this weekend when we don't have work or school. She's having a girl and Alaina's having a boy. And Lars is getting so huge! He's all chubby and cute! I love babies. On Sunday someone came into Sunday School and asked for volunteers for the youngest nursery. We went and it was really fun. Kids love Eli so much! All the little boys wanted to play with him and sit in his lap during singing time. It was cute.
Okay, that is all.
Good luck with finals for those who still have them (suckers! Just kidding, I'm just glad I'm done) and enjoy the nice weather to everyone else!

There you go. If you didn't want to read a list like that, I'm sorry. But, you already did, so ha. We're doing well. Eli's mom and grandma were down for the weekend and we had a really good time with them. They were our first guests, and it was a wonderful weekend. Eli had an organic chemistry test this week, we think he did well. Right now we're really busy with tests and end of the semester papers and projects. We only have two more weeks of school and then finals. I have to go register for graduation tomorrow (woohoo!). Annie and Chad and the kids are here, so that's fun, and we get to go to Sunday afternoon session of conference with Annie and Chad, apparetnly because we're the only ones she knows without kids, but we'll take it anyway. We heard that Grandma's surgery went well today, so that's really good. We hope she'll be able to recover with little pain. That's about all. have a good week everyone!
