Mothers Day
My first Mothers Day was great! Eli made me breakfast in bed: chocolate chip pancakes, homemade cinnamon syrup, and homemade fresh squeezed orange juice! Then he gave me some really cute earrings I've been wanting. We got up and went to church. Church was very nice, the rest of the day was lazy. I took a nap with Caroline sleeping on my chest, I sorted through our closet, organized it, and put together a big bag for DI. We had a simple dinner and gave Caroline a bath. Then came the hard part. I decided to try letting her cry it out. First she laid down, cried for 5 minutes, I came in and calmed her down, she cried then for 7 minutes. Then Eli went in and calmed her down, then she cried for 10 minutes. I went in and calmed her down and then she went to sleep for good. From 10 pm to 5:45 am. That was almost 8 hours! That means Eli got to go to bed and sleep uninterrupted until he had to get up for work! It was awesome! I hated doing it though. I was crying while she was, but it worked. I hope we won't have to do it again tonight. My goal is to have her sleep from 9 - 7:30 ish. ot would be heaven. Well, here are some pictures from Mothers Day. We also put her back in her blessing dress for some family pictures but she was not happy about that. Good thing we got some professional ones in her blessing dress. Enjoy!

2 Month Check-up
I took Caroline to the doctor on Tuesday for her two month check-up. She is doing so well, I am happy to say. She has gained weight, a lot, since her two week check-up. She is a whopping 9 pounds and 6 ounces! That's almost 3 pounds since her birth! I was so proud of her. She's also 22 1/2 inches long now too. She's grown 1 1/2 inches. Everything else is looking good for her. She is healthy and doing well. The doctor also told me that two month olds have the ability to sleep 12 hours at night. He told me a strategy to get her to sleep better. And I have to say it is kind of working, the first phase at least. The first night we did it she slept 7 hours, then last night it was 6 hours. It's not really six hours straight. She'll sleep about 4 or 5 hours then wake up and I'll give her a pacifier and she'll sleep for an hour or more longer. So, once she starts sleeping those six or seven hours straight through then we'll work on dropping the next feeding.

Milestone #2
Milestone #1 was smiling, which you saw earlier she is very good at. Well, yesterday she reached milestone #2, rolling over! I've had the feeling that she would do it soon, and she did! I was so glad it was when Eli was home. We were so excited! She did 5 times in a row. This video is of the third time she rolled over.
Yesterday was special in another way because we blessed her at church. It was very beautiful and special. We had a lot of family and friends there to see her. Her blessing dress was so pretty and she was calm and perfect for it. Unfortunately, I did not get pictures! I know I'm a bad Mom! We were rushing to get ready for church, then we came home and I had to finish getting the lunch ready, then I had to feed her and she was ready to be out of her dress and so was I and we were busy all day. I think when Eli gets home tonight I'll dress us all up again and take some pictures to recreate the day. You'll love her dress and bonnet! Right now Caroline is lounging in the boppy next to me, just cooing and smiling. She is such a sweetheart. I think I'll lay her down to see if she'll roll over again!
