My twenty-third birthday was great! Eli gave me a new set of scriptures! I really needed new ones and the ones he got me are so nice. They're a quad (Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price), dark green with gold edging on the pages. I loved it so much. Eli's mom sent down Gabe with presents from her and Grandma. That was really nice of her to do. She gave me a really nice house plant in a pretty pink pot and they both gave me some birthday money! Thanks so much! We went to dinner at Macaroni Grill with Gary, Karen, Josh, and Gabe. It was so good, I only went there once in high school so it was good to go to again. Friday night was really fun too. A bunch of us went to see Twilight at the dollar theater. Oh man, so lame! But I still loved it because it was so poorly acted and ridiculous. Then even more friends came over for ice cream sundaes. Some people stayed and talked and laughed until 2, it was fun, I haven't done that for a long time. Then Eli and I stayed up until 3 watching Scrubs. On Saturday night I hung out with Cindy while Eli studied. It was a wonderful birthday! Now it's back to school and real life that is no fun at all...well, it is fun, just not the studying and test taking parts. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and for the presents and coming to my party! I loved it all!

P.S.
Eli got a 97% on his Organic Chemistry test! He's my tall genius!

Birthday Bash!
Hello all friends and family who read this in the Provo area! Thursday is my birthday, so to celebrate, I want to pretend that I'm turning 14 and not 23. That's right, we're going to see Twilight in the dollar theater. If you aren't into the movie or you've already seen it, then come to our house afterwards for some ice cream. We're going to the 9:40 showing at Movies 8. Tell your friends and bring friends too!
See you Friday!

Well, it was a rough week because I was sick, but I don't want to talk about that...other than to say that Eli is the best because he'll do anything to help me when I'm not feeling well. He'll miss class and take me to the doctor. He'll even go to the doctor's with me if I want him to. He's the best. Other than that, we're just getting ready for Valentines Day and a three day weekend. Our valentines day's are pretty low key. Eli makes dinner and we watch a movie. It's actually really nice to stay home and have fun together. I work until 6 today, then we'll start our date. I'm excited for it. We don't have any plans yet for Presidents day, I have to work a little, but that's about all. I'm going to write down some books I've read lately per Ronda's request.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I loved this book, thanks Emily for letting me borrow it. It is told by the perspective of Death about a German girl in Nazi Germany. Really good. I don't know if it's appropriate for Eden's age, but I think all of my sisters and friends would really like it.
Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. I think Eden and Quincey and adults would really like this fairy tale with a twist. It's really enjoyable and easy to read. I also like her other books The Goose Girl and Princess Academy.
Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt. This book is great. It's about a family of four siblings whose mother abandons them so the oldest daughter leads the family to their grandmother's house, walking all the way. It's really wonderful, I want to read the rest in the series.
Whirligig by Paul Fleishman. A new boy in town gets drunk at a party while trying to impress a girl, then drives drunk and hits another car. The girl in the other car dies and her family asks him to go to the four corners of the United States and build a whirligig in each place in her memory. I really like this book because you really see Brent, the main character, grow and mature right in front of your eyes as he comes to realize what is really important in life.
That's all I can think of for now. I hope some of you read some of those books. I think The Book Thief is my favorite. It's really a beautiful and moving book!
Enjoy!

Oh yeah, and not a kids one, but a real book that I really enjoyed was A Passage to India by E.M. Forster. It was really a great book.

25 things
Monique tagged me, so here it goes:
1. I just read this article right before I got tagged. Oh, the irony.
2. I have a really hard time getting up early.
3. I love my water aerobics class.
4. I love to run errands. Grocery shopping is my favorite.
5. I have the worlds biggest sweet tooth thanks to Grandma Tena.
6. I always count steps when I go up them.
7. I love to go up steps two at a time.
8. I have an eclectic music collection: Everything from The Beatles, Sons of the Pioneers, Garth Brooks, The Shins, The White Stripes, and lots in between. Right now I'm really into Louis Armstrong thanks to my jazz class.
9. I love to peel things: nail polish, sunburned skin, the shiny covers of books.
10. I love babies.
11. I make really weird noises when I drop things or run into things.
12. I have no coordination, I'm always running into walls and doorframes.
13. Eli says I have an unnatural ability to always accidently hurt him. I've poked him in the eye ball, hit his ears, and I always end up finding where he's sore from basketball and soccer. It's a gift.
14. I've never been over seas. I want to.
15. Pretty much all of my travels involve visiting someone in my family.
16. I have 16 nieces and nephews, I think...give or take one or two.

18. I love to take bubble baths.
19. I love to bake and throw parties.
20. I have to go change for water aerobics.
21. I am wearing a dress today because I was late getting up and dresses are easy when you're in a hurry because they're a whole outfit unto themselves.
22. I give A.J. baths a lot. It's fun.
23. I love our old small freezing apartment.
24. I love to read.
25. I am really ready to graduate. I have senioritis bad!

Recent Pictures
Here are some pictures from the last while, some I've been meaning to post for a long time. There's my baby AJ after a bath, although he's really big now and not a baby. We've got the lovely Lia Belle and Phoebe when they came out to visit. There's Jacob at the Dinosaur museum, me and Eli in Las Vegas,my Halloween costume, the pumpkins and nativity I made at enrichment with Karen, my new hair cut that has since grown out and I'm getting the bangs trimmed up this week, us on Christmas morning, a high school picture of Eli that I think is so cute, our cousin Mason from Idaho who loves to chew on his feet, and a cake that I made for a friends baby shower. That's all! Enjoy!
